Journey Part 1: done!

The last 13 miles climbed 5000 feet, and the last 10 felt like a real slog, but Alene did it--at least Part 1 of her journey! Here she is with her finishing medal for the Badwater 135 with Chris Kostman, the race director.

Finishing photos with crew will come later, and Part 2 of the journey (the return trip) will commence soon, but for now, we're driving over to Lone Pine for a shower and sleep.
